Established by Resolution 81-2, the Mayor's Office of Affirmative Action and Contract Compliance (AACC) promotes equal access, employment, and economic opportunity at every level of City government. AACC's mission is to provide quality certification, compliance, business development, and training programs, while maintaining high standards of customer service and accountability.

The Division:

  • Administers the City's Minority/Women/Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (M/W/DBE) Program and Persons with Disabilities Business Enterprise (PDBE) Program;
  • Monitors payment of prevailing wages on city and federally funded construction contracts;
  • Monitors contractor utilization of M/W/DBEs on contracts that have M/W/DBE goals;
  • Trains City employees on Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) topics;
  • Provides training, information, and management and technical assistance to small and M/W/DBE business owners;
  • Coordinates citywide Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance activities;
  • Advocates for the rights and needs of people with disabilities;
  • Provides comprehensive regulatory assistance and counseling for new and existing businesses.
