MAYOR PRESENT PROCLAMATION TO MEETING PROFESSIONALS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
02.04.2008 -- Nearly 2,000 meetings planners have converged on Houston for the Meeting Professionals International conference taking place at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Mayor Bill White presented a proclamation to MPI chairwoman Angie Pfeifer at the opening general session on February 3. The conference is expected to generate $100 million in business during the next three years, according to historical trends for cities that have hosted MPI conventions.
