"ENTERTAINMENT HOUSTON" TO FOCUS ON CITY PUBLIC FACILITIES New television show will debut on Sunday, March 2, on HTV
02.28.2008 -- Entertainment Houston will turn its lens on some of the city's most visible facilities when it makes its debut on the Houston municipal station HTV Sunday, March 2. The premier episode gives a behind-the-scenes look at such Houston landmarks as the George R. Brown Convention Center, the new Discovery Green downtown park, Wortham Center, Jones Hall and Miller Outdoor Theatre.

Entertainment Houston is a new show developed by the city's Convention & Entertainment Facilities Department (CEFD). Veteran television producer Carol Herrera will host the 30-minute program, which will air at 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. Sunday.
Entertainment Houston will feature new programming every other month for rebroadcast on HTV, which can be seen on Comcast (Ch. 16); Phonoscope (Ch. 2) TVMax (Ch. 16); and Suddenlink (Ch. 14).
CEFD Director Dawn Ullrich says the new program will make Houstonians more aware of public venues and programs. The department manages the George R. Brown Convention Center , Wortham Center , Jones Hall, Miller Outdoor Theatre and a host of other municipal properties.
Herrera was manager of HTV for nearly 20 years and oversaw a number of award-winning governmental programs before joining the department in 2007.
