LI-LING CHOU NAMED 2003 "EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR" IN CONVENTION & ENTERTAINMENT FACILITIES DEPARTMENT

Li-Ling Chou09.04.2003 -- Li-Ling Chou, a computer drawing specialist, has been named the 2003 Employee of the Year in the City of Houston's Convention & Entertainment Facilities Department.

"Li-Ling is a tremendous asset to our department," said Dawn Ullrich, director of the Convention & Entertainment Facilities Department. "In addition to the invaluable work she does for us, she has come through on short notice many times for our clients. She's fast, accurate and delivers under pressure. You can't ask for more than that from an employee. Li-Ling is a most deserving Employee of the Year."

Chou, 47, has been an integral member of the Convention & Entertainment Facilities Department staff since 1997. A native of Taiwan who became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2000, she and her husband, Charles, have two children, Stefan, 15, and Mary Ann, 10.

Six fellow employees were recipients of the department's Team Player Awards: Brenda Bazan, Alberto Garcia, Martha Garza, Brinda Norwood, Linda Rodriguez and Gloria Salinas.
