IMPORTANT CHANGES FOR SOME HOUSTON RESIDENTS June 28, 2007 -- As a way to operate more efficiently and save significant money, Houston's Solid Waste Management Department is currently re-routing the entire city. Beginning July 1st, some customers will experience a service day change for garbage and yard trimmings collection. Heavy trash and curbside recycling service days will remain the same. Customers whose service day will change should already have received several notices. If you have questions regarding your service day, please visit www.houstonsolidwaste.org or call 3-1-1 the City's Customer Service Hotline. The changes will allow us to keep up the quality of your service while holding down the costs to us all. We will save millions of dollars. We appreciate your patience.
