The City of Houston is starting a program to improve the energy efficiency of homes in the Denver Harbor community. It's easy to sign up!  We just need your name, address and a daytime phone number. You can call us at 713-437-2741 or print out the application below and fax to 713-437-6957.

To kick off this exciting program the Mayor will throw a Block Party this Saturday, February 2, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Denver Harbor Community Center, 6402 Market.   Join Mayor Bill White for free food, live entertainment and learn more about how you can participate in the Residential Energy Efficiency Program.

The program, known as the Residential Energy Efficiency Program (REEP), is administered by the City of Houston and is provided to you at NO COST . Your home will first be tested and evaluated to determine the most effective energy efficiency measures to install. The energy efficiency measures may include:

  • Weatherstripping exterior doors
  • Sealing
  • Caulking
  • Duct efficiency
  • Insulation
  • Water saving measures
  • Compact fluorescent lamps

The energy efficiency measures are approved by the Public Utility Commission of Texas and should result in lower utility bills and increased comfort to you as a homeowner.
