March 6, 2008 REMINDER: Mayor's Ethics Briefing for all Mayoral and Council Appointees. Tuesday, March 11, 2008, 9: 00 a.m. at the George R. Brown Convention Center. To: Chairs, Directors and Liaisons of City Boards, Commissions and Authorities There are a number of ethical rules and concepts that apply to public and appointed officials. You are receiving this memo because you are one of these persons and Mayor Bill White is expecting you and your designees to attend the upcoming 2008 Ethics Briefing. This year's briefing, as in previous years, will address issues that affect our municipal responsibilities. Please note that this briefing is to be considered separate from other state required ethics briefings, if any. The 2008 Ethics Briefing for public and appointed officials will be held on the following:

For planning purposes, each Boards and Commissions Director is asked to please inform Christina Cabral at Ethics2008BoardsandCommissions@cityofhouston.net by close of business today, Thursday, March 6th the approximate number of staff who will be in attendance. Directors and Chairs, it is your responsibility to email this information to your board colleagues and staff. Mayor Bill White and City Attorney Arturo Michel will make the presentation.
