Half-Off Regular Adoption Fees at BARC's
Cosmic Companion Mega Event
Saturday, September 14 at H-E-B Montrose Market 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

BARC Animal Shelter and Adoptions is hosting the Furry Invasion of Cosmic Companions mega pet adoption event on Saturday, September 14, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the H-E-B Montrose Market, located at 1701 W. Alabama, Houston 77098. Tons of puppies, dogs, cats and kittens in all shapes and sizes will be available for adoption.

All regular adoption fees will be cut in half at the event: Dogs will be $25, puppies will be $37.50, cats will be $10 and kittens will be $17.50. For the first time ever, BARC will accept Mastercard and Visa in addition to cash at the event. Saturday's half-off regular adoption fees will also apply at BARC's facility, located at 3200 Carr Street, Houston 77026

Thanks to the help of Proler Southwest/Sims Metal Management and other sponsors, BARC is able to make this event bigger and better than any event in BARC's history. Even though this is an outdoor event, visitors can expect to stay cool while they search for the perfect furry addition to the family, thanks to a giant air-conditioner provided by Turn Key Events that will be under the big adoption tent. BARC invites all Houstonians to stop by and find the perfect cosmic companion before BARC has to send them back to the mother ship!

For every pet adopted at the event and at BARC, Proler Southwest/Sims Metal Management will donate the equivalent of a full-price adoption fee to the recently launched Healthy Pets, Healthy Streets beachhead spay/neuter initiative. The company will also match all half-off adoption fees for every pet adopted and donate it to BARC's animals.

BARC adoptions include spay/neuter surgery, a one-year City license, a pre-registered microchip with lifetime registration and age-appropriate vaccinations. Plus, every pet adopted at the event will receive a gift.
