Houston Bike Plan Public Meetings Planned
The City of Houston is seeking your participation as it kicks off the Houston Bike Plan, a 12 month planning effort to update the City's Comprehensive Bikeway Plan.
Please attend any of the upcoming public meetings to share your vision on how to make Houston a safer, healthier, more bike-friendly city. The first public meeting will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015, and four (4) additional public meetings will be held in the month of June at various locations around the city. Visit www.HoustonBikePlan.org for details on meeting dates, times and locations.
The Planning & Development Department in coordination with the Public Works & Engineering Department (PWE) and Houston Parks and Recreation Department is leading the update to the plan. The plan is made possible by our funding partners: BikeHouston, Houston Parks Board, Houston-Galveston Area Council, FTA, FHWA, and TxDOT. The plan is scheduled to be completed in spring 2016.
For more information about the plan and to sign up for email updates, please visit www.HoustonBikePlan.org or contact the Houston Bikeways Program at bikeways@houstontx.gov.
