Notification of Capital Improvement Plan - Oak Estates

In order to keep pace with the growing needs of the community, the City of Houston, through the Department of Public Works and Engineering, will be improving wastewater lines, water lines, storm sewers, new streets in the area described below. The contractor for this project is ACM Contractors, Inc. and work will start on April 29, 2009 and is scheduled to end on April 24, 2010.  You may not see any activity by the contractor for several weeks after the construction time has begun. This is due to the contractor getting prepared to perform work which includes procurement of materials and equipment, setting up staging areas or working in other areas in the project

Project Description:

Work includes construction of new water mains, storm drainage improvements, gravity sanitary sewers, reinforced concrete pavement and curb, street lighting, signing and striping, and site restoration.

Construction Cost: $3,615,245.04

  • Meadow Lake Lane, from Suffolk Drive to Drexel Drive
  • Chatham Lane, from Suffolk Drive to Drexel Drive
  • Essex Lane, from Suffolk Drive to Drexel Drive
  • Betsy Lane, from Suffolk Drive to Drexel Drive
  • Suffolk Drive, from West Alabama to Westheimer
  • Drexel Drive, from West Alabama to Westheimer

The contractor is required to provide residents written notification, via door hangers, 72 hours prior to construction beginning on your street. Periodic updates of the construction schedule will be sent out using CitizensNet.
