Notification of Capital Improvement Plan
Construction Project Improving Storm Sewers

In order to keep pace with the growing needs of the community, the City of Houston through the Department of Public Works and Engineering will be improving the storm sewers in the area described below. The contractor for this project is RJ Construction Company, Inc. and work will start on September 24, 2009, and is scheduled to end on September 24, 2010.  You may not see any activity by the contractor for several weeks after the construction time has begun. This is due to the contractor getting prepared to perform work which includes procurement of materials and equipment, setting up staging areas or working in other areas in the project.

Project Description: Drainage Improvements at Grade Separations, Package III: This project consists of construction of drainage improvements at five grade separations within the City of Houston. Work includes the demolition of existing pump station, construction of new pump station, construction of 16 feet concrete access road, upgrade existing pump stations, and installing Advanced Flood Warning devices at two pump stations.

Construction Cost: $3,050,000.00
