11th Annual Community Drug Awareness Day

The Houston Crackdown Division of the Mayor’s Office of Public Safety and Homeland Security is co-hosting the 11th Annual Community Drug Awareness Day (CDAD), "Building Our Future" anti-drug conference-symposium. This annual event brings together numerous members of the Houston community to address substance use and related issues. This year due to COVID-19, we have had to alter our event and move to a virtual zoom platform.

Key topics will include the neuro-science of high-risk behavior during a crisis, the potential impact of COVID-19 on substance use trends and delivery of service, as well as how environmental crises and other catastrophes affect individuals’ substance use and entire communities.

Community Drug Awareness Day

The 11th Annual Houston Community Drug Awareness Day conference will take place September 24 & 25 from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., via Zoom virtual platform. Registration is FREE and continuing education credits are offered free of charge.
