Networking and Informal Presentation
Wednesday, February 24, 2016
6:00 p.m - 8:00 p.m.
Green Building Resource Center

In partnership with the Texas Gulf Coast Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council

Green Builiding Resource Center

Socialize at the Green Building Resource Center and find out about Solarize! Come by for some networking, and check out our reorganized displays of green building strategies.  We will have light bites and beverages, and short presentations about the new USGBC Texas Chapter, and the emerging Solarize Houston- a grass roots, volunteer, non-profit group organizing individuals in Houston to make a group purchase of solar panels and installations in the first half of 2016. Solarize Houston's mission is to increase awareness and accelerate the use of solar energy for electricity generation in Houston. Solarize Houston is modeled upon similar efforts, including in Plano, Texas, and elsewhere.  Find out about Houston's accelerated permitting for Solar-only projects.

Are you up for the Challenge?  We have a Student Activity Package here with questions for high school students centered on our 'Top Ten' Self-Guided Tour displays.  Take a copy and work as a team to see if you can compete.  Leave your contact information on it if you want me to get back to you with the answers and how you scored...

Register online or call 832-394-9050 prior to the event.
