Apply for Youth Police Advisory Council 2011-2012

Houston Police Department (HPD) invites Houston area high school students to apply for the 2011 - 2012 Youth Policy Advisory Council (YPAC).

HPD's YPAC is recruiting high school students to interact with Chief of Police Charles A. McClelland, Jr. and other top HPD officials regarding issues affecting youth in schools and communities.

A select group of high school students will be chosen for the new school year, to not only address issues of their peers but also participate in community service projects and attend youth leadership conferences throughout the state.

YPAC members are required to meet five times during the school year at HPD Headquarters at 1200 Travis, Houston 77002. Applications are being accepted now and are due October 1, 2011. http://www.houstontx.gov/police/vip/images/ypac-app.pdf.
