"Get Alarmed Houston!"

The Houston Fire Department Will Be In Your Area

Members of the Houston Fire Department (HFD) and local volunteers will be in your area:

Saturday, June 11, 2011

9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

to install FREE smoke detectors as part of the HFD "Get Alarmed Houston!" program.

The area to be covered will be:

Alabama to Elgin and St. Charles to Ennis

It is a fact that working smoke detectors save lives. Test your smoke detector once a month. If your smoke detector is over 10 years old, please replace it. If you do not receive a free smoke detector on Saturday, you can pick one up at any HFD Fire Station or call the HFD Public Affairs office at 832.394.6633 to schedule an installation appointment.

Also, please join us at the Houston Area Urban League's Young Professionals Day of Service on Saturday, June 11, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Emancipation Park. Free safety information, hurricane preparedness guides, activities for the kids and more!
