Houston Fire Department and CenterPoint Energy Team Up: Free Smoke Detectors

The Houston Fire Department (HFD) and CenterPoint Energy have partnered together for the "Get Alarmed Houston" program. With the help of a generous donation from CenterPoint Energy, HFD and volunteers from CenterPoint Energy will be installing free smoke detectors in the southeast part of Houston Saturday, November 8th from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. HFD is targeting homes in the area of Fire Station 46 located at 3902 Corder @ Scott.

When you changed your clock, did you change the battery in your smoke detector? If not do it today! "Working Smoke Detectors Save Lives".   If you need a free smoke detector visit any Houston Fire Station, e-mail paul.box@cityofhouston.net or call the HFD Public Affairs Office at 713-495-7900 to schedule an appointment.
