Waste Diversion & Reclamation in Green Buildings

You are invited to attend the first program presented at the Public Works & Engineering Green Building Resource Center. The program is entitled Waste Diversion & Reclamation in Green Buildings and will take place at the Code Enforcement Building, 3300 Main Street, Houston, Texas 77002 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m on Thursday, August 27, 2009. See www.greenhoustontx.gov/20090827.pdf for more details and a map.

Green buildings save owners and users money with greater energy efficiency. They are better for our environment with more reuse of material. Ultimately, they foster a happier and healthier workplace for employees. The Green Building Resource Center is registered to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for commercial interiors and is hosting the first of periodic programs to outreach to the public about green building practices.

We welcome your participation in this event and your interest and support for green building efforts across Houston. We are limited to 75 attendees, so please RSVP to Steve Stelzer at 713-535-7508 or e-mail at steve.stelzer@cityofhouston.net.
