Houston Police Department Food Drive
Now Accepting Online Donations

Comida Food Drive

Help the Houston Police Department (HPD) reach out and feed the less fortunate this holiday season without leaving the comfort of your home. HPD has partnered with the Houston Police Foundation to accept online donations to allow for easier participation in one of the largest food drives in the city, the 27th Annual Comida (Food) Drive.

To place an online donation go to www.houstonpolice.org, click on the "Comida Food Drive" and then the "Make a Donation" button. Online donations are being accepted now through December 1, with 100 percent of all cash donations to go toward the purchase of basic bulk food staples.

For the past 27 years, HPD has partnered with Fiesta Mart, Inc., The Pepsi Bottling Group and the Houston Citizen's Police Academy Alumni Association to collect, package and distribute boxes of food to Houston's underprivileged families. Last year, HPD was able to provide 3,500 boxes of food to places of worship for distribution to families in need.

In store donations of food and cash will also be collected at the following Fiesta Marts on Thursday, November 29 and Friday, November 30, noon to 8 p.m. and on Saturday, December 1 and Sunday, December 2, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
