Since its inception, Houston HOPE has helped hundreds of families to own quality, affordable homes in improved areas of the City of Houston.
Houston HOPE is Mayor Bill White's action plan to improve several of Houston's historic neighborhoods by coordinating public safety programs, restoring existing homes, providing quality new affordable homes, and improving infrastructure and drainage.

A tax credit of up to $8,000 is available for qualified first-time homebuyers purchasing a principal residence on or after January 1, 2009 and before December 1, 2009.
