Kashmere Gardens Block Party

Join Mayor Bill White and Council Member Jarvis Johnson on Saturday, February 28, 2009, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Tuffly Community Center and Park, 3200 Russell Street, for the Residential Energy Efficiency Program (REEP) Block Party. Come out and enjoy live music, free food and drinks.

The Residential Energy Efficiency Program is administered by the City of Houston and is provided to you at NO COST.  Your home will first be tested and evaluated to determine the most effective energy efficiency measures to install.  The energy efficiency measures may include:

  • Weatherstripping exterior doors
  • Sealing
  • Caulking
  • Ductwork evaluation
  • Insulation
  • Water saving measures
  • Compact fluorescent light bulbs

The energy efficiency measures are approved by the Public Utility Commission of Texas and should result in lower utility bills and increased comfort to you as a homeowner.
