Expanded Services to be Offered at Kingwood Permitting Office
Beginning Monday, June 18, 2012

Beginning Monday, June 18, 2012, the Code Enforcement Branch of the Public Works and Engineering Department will offer more permitting options to the residents and business owners at the Kingwood branch location. The following new services will be available Monday - Friday, from 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m., at 3915 Rustic Woods Drive, Kingwood 77345, 281.361.9580:

  • Building Permits (Commercial/Residential) - This is a walk-thru service for projects that are minor in nature such as, minor remodels, tenant build outs or repair projects that ought not require more than a 30 minute review. NOTE: Any plans needing permits for floodplain, traffic, planning, or water and wastewater will be sent to the appropriate review at the Houston Permitting Center location.   • Sign Contractor Permit Drop Off/Submittal - This service will allow sign contractors to drop off and submit plans for sign permits.
  • Roofing Permits - Building permits for roof repairs or replacements
  • Bulkhead/Pier Permits - Construction of bulkheads/piers

This office will continue to provide the following services:

  • Single Trade (Electrical, Plumbing, and Mechanical Permits)
  • Inspection Scheduling
  • Advance Pay Account Deposits

In order to ensure a successful plan review, submit complete construction plans in compliance with all requirements, including the Prerequisites checklist for Commercial Projects. For questions email Gary Gardner at Gary.Gardner@houstontx.gov.
