Note:  If you are unable to attend the open session in person, you can listen in on Monday or watch the session online afterwards starting at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday February 4, 2009 through Friday, March 6, 2009.  See the end of this email for details.

for public input

concerning electric service reliability.

Monday, February 2, 2009, 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

George R. Brown Convention Center, Room 370

(parking at the Hotel/Convention Center garage will be validated)

The Mayor's Task Force, chaired by Paul Hobby, requests input from the public at the hearing on how to improve electric reliability in the event of a hurricane or other disaster.

To listen to the open session while it is happening:

  1. Call 1-800-820-4690 from a touch tone land line phone
  2. When prompted for the conference ID, enter 8845738# on the phone's keypad
  3. Those listening will not be able to address the task force

Important dos and don'ts to allow everyone to hear clearly:

  • Do use a land line
  • Do put your phone on mute either manually or the system can do it by pushing *6 (star 6)
  • Don't put your phone on hold (Hang up and redial if you need to leave)
  • Don't use a cell phone (It will cause static for others listening)
