Second Annual "Meet the Buyer" Purchasing Forum

On Tuesday, December 7, 2010, the City of Houston will host the second annual "Meet the Buyer" Purchasing Forum. This free event will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center, 1001 Avenida De Las Americas, 77010, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Exhibit Hall B, 3rd Level, Grand Ballroom. Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m.

Participants will have a unique opportunity to meet with actual buyers from city departments who routinely solicit bids in order to meet the city's procurement needs. There will also be information presented on city procurement processes and requirements.

The forum will feature on-site vendor registration and information on current and upcoming purchasing needs and contracting opportunities as well as information on certification.

Registration is available online through Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at On-site registration the day of the event is also available. For additional information or questions, call 713.837.9000.
