ReBuild Houston Project Completed in Your Area
The Aldine-Westfield Paving and Drainage Project widened a street that had deteriorated beyond normal maintenance and repair. This project improved traffic circulation, mobility and drainage in the area. The $7.89M enhancement project, which runs along Aldine-Westfield from Tidwell to Little York, was completed in late May 2013.
The Aldine-Westfield Paving and Drainage Project consisted of the reconstruction of approximately 7,200 linear feet of a two-lane roadway and converted it into a four-lane undivided concrete roadway. Additional highlights include the construction of curbs, sidewalks, driveways, storm drainage, street lighting, traffic control and necessary underground utilities.
The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. Its goal is to improve the quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements. The Aldine-Westfield Paving and Drainage Project is an active example of ReBuild Houston at work to better serve you.
