March 28, 2014 ReBuild Houston Project Completed in District E and I The Allendale Concrete Panel Replacement Project will improve streets in the area by repairing the existing deteriorating roadway. This $220,000 project, which runs along Allendale from Howard to Forest Oaks, 77017, was completed in mid-March 2014. Concrete panel replacement is used to rehabilitate severely cracked and broken sections of concrete streets. The Allendale Concrete Panel Replacement Project not only replaced concrete panels in need of repair, but also provided repairs and improvements to curbs. The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. Its goal is to improve the quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements.
