ReBuild Houston Project Underway in District D
The Local Drainage Project at Buffum will provide improvements to resolve localized storm water drainage issues. This approximately $125,000 project, which runs along Buffum Street and Jipsie Lane, began in late July 2013 and is anticipated to be complete by late October 2013.
A Local Drainage Project is a small scale project that strives to optimize the existing drainage system with repairs and enhancements. This will include the repair, removal and/or replacement of storm sewers, as well as roadway pavement, curbs, sidewalks, access ramps and more.
The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. Its goal is to improve the quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements. The Local Drainage Project at Buffum is an active example of ReBuild Houston at work to better serve you.
