ReBuild Houston Project Underway in District D
The Cullen Concrete Panel Replacement Project will improve road surface safety and accessibility while prolonging the life of the roadway. This approximately $1.44 million improvement project, which runs along Cullen Boulevard from Elgin to Wheeler, 77004, began in May 2014 and is anticipated to be complete by August 2014.
Concrete panel replacement is used to rehabilitate severely cracked and broken sections of concrete streets. The Cullen Concrete Panel Replacement Project involves the design and construction of reinforced concrete pavement, base repair, as well as repairs and improvements to curbs and accessible ramps.
The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. Its goal is to improve quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements. The Cullen Boulevard Concrete Panel Replacement Project is an active example of ReBuild Houston at work to better serve you.
