ReBuild Houston Project Completed in District E
The Local Drainage Project at Delwin provided improvements to address localized storm water drainage issues in the area. This approximately $36,000 project, which runs along Berry Bayou at Delwin and Hinds, 77034 was completed on July 24, 2013.
A Local Drainage Project is a small scale project that strives to optimize the existing drainage system with repairs and enhancements. This will include the repair, removal and/or replacement of storm sewers, as well as roadway pavement, curbs, sidewalks, access ramps and more.
The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. Its goal is to improve quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements. The Local Drainage Project at Delwin and Hinds is an active example of ReBuild Houston at work to better serve you.
