ReBuild Houston Project Completed in District C
The Graustark Asphalt Overlay Project improved road surface drivability and accessibility while prolonging the life of the roadway. This approximately $163,000 improvement project, which runs along Graustark from West Alabama to Richmond, 77006, began in June 2014 and was completed in August 2014.
The Graustark Asphalt Overlay Project consisted of the application of asphalt overlay along Graustark Street, as well as repairs and improvements to curbs and accessibility ramps. Additional project highlights included concrete base repair and pavement markings as needed.
The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. Its goal is to improve quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements. The Graustark Asphalt Overlay Project is an active example of ReBuild Houston at work to better serve you.
