ReBuild Houston Project Completed in District J
The Local Drainage Project at Keegan's Bayou provided improvements to address localized storm water drainage issues in the area. This approximately $140,000 project, which runs along Keegan's Bayou at S. Dairy Ashford, 77099 was completed on July 9, 2013.
A Local Drainage Project is a small scale project that strives to optimize the existing drainage system with repairs and enhancements. This will include the repair, removal and/or replacement of storm sewers, as well as roadway pavement, curbs, sidewalks and access ramps.
The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. Its goal is to improve quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements. The Local Drainage Project at Keegan's Bayou is an active example of ReBuild Houston at work to better serve you.
