September 2, 2014 ReBuild Houston Project Underway in District H The Laura Koppe Asphalt Overlay Project will improve road surface drivability and accessibility in the area while prolonging the life of the roadway. This approximately $87,000 project, which runs along Laura Koppe from Dodson to Hirsch, 77093, began in August 2014 and is anticipated to be complete September 2014. The Laura Koppe Asphalt Overlay Project consists of resurfacing the road with asphalt overlay as well as repairs and improvements to curbs and accessibility ramps. Additional project highlights include concrete base repair and pavement markings as needed. The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. Its goal is to improve quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements.
