February 28, 2014 ReBuild Houston Project Completed in District I The Lawndale Concrete Panel Replacement Project improved road surface safety and addressed accessibility issues. This approximately $130,000 improvement project, which runs along Lawndale Street between Brays Bayou and Santa Rosa Street, 77023, was completed in early February 2014. Concrete panel replacement is used to repair severely cracked and broken sections of concrete streets. Additional features of the Lawndale Concrete Panel Replacement Project included the repair and improvement of curbs along Lawndale Street. The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. Its goal is to improve the quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements.
