June 24, 2014 ReBuild Houston Project Underway in District I The Local Drainage Project at the 300 block of Pecan Grove will provide improvements to address localized storm water drainage issues in the area. This approximately $50,000 project, which runs along Pecan Grove at Coolgreen, 77013, began in April 2014 and is anticipated to be complete by late June 2014. A Local Drainage Project is a small scale project that strives to optimize the existing drainage system with repairs and enhancements. This may include the repair, removal and/or replacement of storm sewers, manholes, and inlets; as well as roadway pavement, curbs, sidewalks and access ramps. The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. Its goal is to improve quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements.
