ReBuild Houston Project Underway in District D
The Local Drainage Project at the 10000 Block of Radio Road will provide improvements to address localized storm water drainage issues in the area. This approximately $36,000 project, which runs along Radio Road near Wayfarer Lane, began on September 3, 2013 and is anticipated to be complete by early October 2013.
A local drainage project is a small scale project that strives to optimize the existing drainage system with repairs and enhancements. This will include the repair, removal and/or replacement of storm sewers, as well as roadway pavement, curbs, sidewalks, access ramps and more.
The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter-initiated "pay-as-you-go" plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. ReBuild Houston will help improve the quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements. The Local Drainage Project at the 10000 block of Radio Road is an active example of ReBuild Houston at work to better serve you.
