ReBuild Houston Project Underway in District G
The Shepherd Drive Area Drainage and Paving Project will improve road surface drivability and accessibility while prolonging the life of the roadway. This approximately $21.2 million project, which runs along Shepherd from Westheimer to Buffalo Bayou, 77098, began in August 2014 and is anticipated to be complete in August 2015.
Shepherd Drive Area Drainage and Paving Project consists of the construction of new storm sewers with outfall structures and bank stabilization at Buffalo Bayou. Additional project highlights may include concrete paving, curbs, sidewalks, driveways and underground utilities.
The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. Its goal is to improve quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements. The Shepherd Drive Area Drainage and Paving Project is an active example of ReBuild Houston at work to better serve you.
