ReBuild Houston Project Underway in District G
Sherwood Forest Drainage and Paving Project
ZIP Code Area: 77055
Construction on the $12 million Sherwood Forest Drainage and Paving Project began June 15, 2015 and will continue through December 2016.
Traffic control, including lane reductions, will remain in effect for the duration of the project for Memorial Drive (from Industrial Boulevard to Silber Road), International Boulevard (from Memorial to I-10), and Silber Road (from Memorial Drive to I-10).
The project will install new concrete paving, curbs, sidewalks, underground water, wastewater and storm water infrastructure to improve area storm drainage in the Sherwood Forest and adjacent Buffalo Bayou watershed area.
This project is being funded through ReBuild Houston - the City of Houston's voter approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. The goal of ReBuild Houston is to improve quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements. This project is an active example of ReBuild Houston at work to better serve you.
