ReBuild Houston Project Notification
The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter-initiated plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. ReBuild Houston will help improve the quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements.
The Shaver Road Reconstruction project (N-000582) is an active example of ReBuild Houston at work to better serve you. The Shaver Road Reconstruction Project is scheduled to start this summer and the infrastructure improvements include, widening the road from four to six lanes with raised median, curb and gutter drainage, sidewalks, street lighting, and improved underground utilities. The project also includes storm water capacity improvements for a portion of the Berry Bayou and a new detention pond. The construction of the $13.5 million dollar improvement project is being managed by the Texas Department of Transportation and is scheduled for completion by early 2015.
