August 19, 2013 ReBuild Houston Project Underway in District E The Space Center Boulevard Concrete Panel Replacement Project will improve streets in the area by repairing the existing deteriorating roadway. The project, which runs along Space Center Boulevard between El Dorado and Bay Area Boulevard, began in the late July 2013 and is expected to be complete by August 2013. Concrete panel replacement is used to repair severely cracked and broken sections of concrete streets. During this process, motorists will notice lane closures around the repair areas and are urged to drive cautiously through these active work zones. The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. Its goal is to improve the quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements. The Space Center Boulevard Concrete Panel Replacement Project is an active example of ReBuild Houston at work to better serve you.
