July 31, 2014 ReBuild Houston Project Completed in District A The Local Drainage Project at Teague provided improvements to address localized storm water drainage issues in the area. This approximately $16,000 project, located at the 2500 block of Teague Road near Gessner, 77080, began in June 2014 and was completed in July 2014. A Local Drainage Project is a small scale project that strives to optimize the existing drainage system with repairs and enhancements. This may include the repair, removal and/or replacement of storm sewers, manholes, inlets and incidental street or sidewalk repair. The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. Its goal is to improve quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements.
