The Local Drainage Project at Waxwing will provide improvements to address localized storm water drainage issues in the area. This approximately $250,000 project, located on the 11000 block of Waxwing along Willow Waterhole, 77035, began in July 2014 and is anticipated to be complete in November 2014.
A Local Drainage Project is a small scale project that strives to optimize the existing drainage system with repairs and enhancements. This may include the repair, removal and/or replacement of storm sewers, manholes, inlets and incidental street or sidewalk repair.
The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. Its goal is to improve quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements. The Local Drainage Project at Waxwing is an active example of ReBuild Houston at work to better serve you.
