ReBuild Houston Project Underway in Your Community
The Wilcrest Concrete Street Repair Project will improve and maintain a safe road surface and accessibility. The project consists of replacing concrete, along with repair and improvements to curbs and accessibility ramps along Wilcrest Drive from Westheimer Road to Buffalo Bayou. The $650,000 improvement project is scheduled to begin mid-June 2013 and is projected to be complete by late October 2013.
A concrete street repair involves removing old concrete and replacing it with new concrete. As the project progresses, you may experience lane closures and slowed traffic. Please drive with caution.
The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. Its goal is to improve the quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements. The Wilcrest Concrete Street Repair Project is an active example of ReBuild Houston at work to better serve you.
