ReBuild Houston Street Rehabiliation Project on Beechnut
The Beechnut Rehabilitation Project, from Wilcrest to Kirkwood, will improve traffic circulation, mobility and drainage in the area. The $7.9M project is scheduled to begin in June 2013 and is anticipated to be complete before the end of 2014.
The project consists of the reconstruction of approximately 7,300 linear feet of roadways, new concrete gutter lines and inlets to relieve street flooding, accessible sidewalks, driveways, street lighting, traffic control and necessary underground utilities.
The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. Its goal is to improve the quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements. The Beechnut Rehabilitation Project is an active example of ReBuild Houston at work to better serve you.
