ReBuild Houston Project Underway in District C
The Freedmen's Town Area Brick Street Restoration Project will improve traffic circulation, mobility and drainage in the area. This approximately $4.9 million project, which runs along Andrews from Heiner to Wilson; and Wilson from Andrews to West Dallas, 77019, began in early October 2014 and is expected to be complete in early October 2015.
The Freedmen's Town Area Brick Street Restoration Project consists of the replacement of the water and sanitary sewer lines, as well as the restoration of the brick streets.
The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston's voter approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. Its goal is to improve quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements. The Freedmen's Town Area Brick Street Restoration Project is an active example of ReBuild Houston at work to better serve you.
