Yes! to Census 2020!
The Census occurs every ten years and counts every person living in the 50 states, District of Columbia, and five U.S. territories. The census count determines where billions of dollars in federal funding go for disaster recovery, medical care, fire departments, schools, roads, housing and other resources. It also determines the number of seats each state will have in the U.S. House of Representatives and is used to draw congressional and state legislative district lines.

A one percent undercount could cost Houston $250 million in federal funds. Therefore, let’s say no to undercounting in our communities and #YEStotheCensus. Respond to the census online, by phone or mail in April!  Remember, the information you provide cannot be shared with anyone and is protected by law from other branches of government.

For 2020 Census information, call 1-800-923-8282 or visit https://www.2020census.gov/. For Houston and Harris County census outreach information and events visit https://www.harrishoustoncounts.com/calendar.
