Taxi Accessibility Survey
The City of Houston has retained Taxi Research Partners to conduct a demand study of vehicle for hire services in Houston to assess their accessibility for individuals with disabilities, including those who require wheelchair accessible vehicle for hire services. The study will review current market conditions, identify barriers to use and establish a baseline for demand for accessible services.
This information will be used to help a taskforce assess whether accommodations for people with disabilities are equivalent to those services received by those without disabilities. Additionally, the taskforce may make recommendations to City Council regarding whether additional wheelchair-accessible vehicles are needed in order to ensure that people with disabilities receive adequate services.
Please take a moment to complete the survey by using the link below. Whether you are completely satisfied with the service or if you believe that there is a need for improvement, your response is vital to the success of this study. Your responses will be held in the strictest confidence and no information will be provided to any other company, so please comment freely. Only Taxi Research Partners (which is not affiliated with any taxi or vehicle for hire company) and designated staff in my office at the City of Houston Office of Administrative and Regulatory Affairs will have access to your responses.
