Help Refresh the Winzer Park Basketball Courts Through Your "My Coke Reward Points" and Sprite!
The Houston Parks and Recreation Department is excited to tell you that Winzer Park has been selected as one of 25 basketball courts to receive grant funding for refurbishments through the 2012 Sprite Spark Parks Project, a joint program between Sprite and the National Recreation and Park Association (N.R.P.A.).
The park will receive at least $5,000 for new rims, backboards, resurfacing and other important items to improve the court. However, it could receive as much as $15,000. Please help us rally strong and active community support in Houston to achieve the maximum grant.
From March 28 through May 31, people across the nation will help earn grants for their local park and recreation agencies to refresh the basketball courts where they love to play. To cast a vote, visit www.SpriteSparkParks.com and submit the "My Coke Rewards" codes found on Sprite and Sprite Zero products. Sprite will donate $275,000 to be distributed among the 25 parks in grants ranging from $5,000 to $15,000. The funds will be used to refresh these critical, active play spaces.
