Located across from the Toyota Center in the northeast corner of Root Memorial Square Park, Heritage Lanterns add an artistic touch to the surrounding landscape. The five stainless steel sculptures are internally lit and feature various Victorian Era-styled “cut-outs.” The ornamental spires and tower-like structures of the lanterns are typical of the Victorian style in the 1800s. The lanterns vary in height from five to seven feet. The artists, Carter Ernst and Paul Kittelson, completed work on the lanterns in the fall of 2005.
