Brad in the Community
CM Bradford presented a proclamation to Dr. Guadalupe Quintanilla for her service to the Houston Police Department for over 30 years on the Spanish language and Hispanic culture. She developed a cross-cultural communication program for police officers that have been recognized as the best of its type by the United States Defense and Justice Departments. Dr. Quintanilla was appointed to the United Nations Institute of Justice; ambassador to the World Conference on International Issues and Women’s Affairs in Austria and was named one of the 100 most influential women in Texas for the past 100 years. Dr. Quintanilla received a Bachelors degree in Biology from Pan American University. Also she’s earned a Masters and Doctorate degree in Education from the University of Houston. Dr. Guadalupe Quintanilla was the first Hispanic woman to be hired as an administrator at the University of Houston.
