A native Houstonian, Houston City Council Member Mike Sullivan is intimately familiar with the issues of District E, having lived in both the Clear Lake and Kingwood areas.

With a strong dedication to his community and the public policymaking process, Mike is committed to returning more tax dollars to District E, maintaining open communications with constituents, and being a conservative voice on City Council.

Elected to the Humble ISD Board of Trustees in 2004, Mike fought to institute sound business practices, and tackled tough problems.

As a Community Liaison for Houston City Council Member Michael Berry, Sullivan gained experience in city government, handling constituent service issues and working with other council offices and city department heads.

Mike Sullivan brings an understanding of small business to his role at City Council, gained as President and Owner of Mar-Max Supply, Inc., a distributor of marine and industrial paints and coatings. Also, Mike holds a Real Estate Broker license and has worked on a number of commercial real estate transactions. Mike is also active in his local chambers of commerce, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Humble Area Chamber of Commerce.

Married 25 years, Mike and his wife, Kim, have a 16-year old daughter.  He is a member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Kingwood, where he is a Chalice Bearer.  Additionally, Mike is a member of the Board of Directors of Kingwood Medical Center, an Advisory Director of HCA (Hospital Corporation of America) Gulf Coast Division, and an Ex-Officio Director of Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership.  He formerly served as a Director of FamilyTime Crisis and Counseling Center, Director of Justice for All, and a member of the Executive Committee of the Region H Water Planning Group.
