Mike Sullivan is currently serving his third term as the District E Council Member, representing the areas of Kingwood and Clear Lake. His district also includes Johnson Space Center, Ellington Airport, and the Houston Ship Channel from Manchester Terminal down to Baytown.
Council Member Sullivan was a longtime volunteer for former city councilman Michael Berry, and served as Berry's Kingwood Liaison for 6 years. He also served as an elected member of the Humble ISD Board of Trustees from 2004 – 2007. Texas Governor Rick Perry recently appointed Sullivan as a member of his Task Force on Unfunded Mandates on Local Governments.

Proclamation Presentation at UH Football Game
On Saturday 19, 2011, Council Member Sullivan attended what may have been the University of Houston’s last home game in Robertson Stadium in light of proposed construction that is likely to begin at the conclusion of the Cougar’s 2011 season. Council Member Sullivan took this opportunity along with fellow City Council Member James Rodriguez to present a proclamation to President Renu Khator and the UH Board of Regents, declaring the day, “University of Houston Day,” in the City of Houston. While there Council Member Sullivan visited with a number of UH and community leaders.
