The Houston Parks and Recreation Department with SWA Landscape Architects received that “Award of Excellence” by Texas Chapter of American Society of Landscape Architects for the Lake Houston Wilderness Park Master Plan. The award recognizes HPARD’s vision to develop Lake Houston Wilderness Park into an urban preserve where city dwellers of all ages can experience the forest environment and develop an appreciation for the wilderness, ecosystem and inhabitants. The Park is located on the north boundary of Council Member Sullivan’s District.
